FCA/South Street LLC, a limited-liability corporation organized in March 2007, has purchased a former Kentucky Derby Hosiery (KDH) property in the 300 block of South South Street, reportedly for $725,000, and is offering it for lease.

The 36,500-square-foot Plant 6 Administrative Office sits on a 3.22-acre lot fronting on South Street. An adjacent 71,000-square-foot Plant 4 Distribution Center sits on a 3.58-acre parcel that fronts on Derby and Factory streets. The administrative office is suitable for both office uses and light manufacturing.

According to Surry County tax records, the administrative office’s parcel has an appraised value of nearly $418,000 and an estimated replacement cost of $947,000.

FCA/South Street’s office is at 210 Airport Road, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030 — also the home of Granite Development Inc. FSA/South Street’s managing partners include W.J. “Hank” Spires Jr., C. Richard Vaughn Jr., Monte Venable, Craig Hunter and the C. Richard Vaughn Family LLC.
