A ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday will open the new Collins Pest Control office in the former Bannertown fire station across from Derby Restaurant.
Owned by Jim Collins Jr. of Pilot Mountain, Collins Pest Control is licensed in North Carolina and Virginia to perform termite and pest control. The company also installs vents and vapor barriers, pretreats new construction and conducts inspections required for home loans. Collins Pest Control is a member of the Surry County Homebuilders Association, the North Carolina and national pest control associations and Travelers Protective Association.
The company previously was based at 381 Simmons Grove Church Road in Pilot Mountain.
