Beary Country Gifts & Collectibles, 128 Old Beary Trail (off N.C. 89 west of Mount Airy), will host artist and author Kathryn Andrews Fincher from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18.

Fincher paints inspirational pictures of children, landscapes and still-life scenes. Her work appears in books, calendars, sculptures, greeting cards, inspirational giftware, journals, music boxes, mugs, tapestries and other products. She also is the author of “Mama Knows Best,” “Simple Wonders” and other books. She lives in Atlanta.
